Dr Sasha Fehily is a Gastroenterologist, Hepatologist and clinician-researcher at St. Vincent's Hospital, where she holds a consultant position. She recently completed her PhD through the University of Melbourne, where her doctoral research examined faecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) as a therapeutic strategy in Crohn's disease, one of the largest FMT trials conducted worldwide.

Her research focuses on the human microbiome and its therapeutic applications, while her clinical expertise spans inflammatory bowel disease, coeliac disease, functional gut disorders, and liver disease. Dr Fehily's Masters of Public Health and international experience in low-resource settings have shaped a holistic, evidence-based approach that bridges clinical care with broader public health considerations.
